Davis Love, III, winner of the 1997 PGA
Championship may have solidified his reputation
as a course designer with his newest creation
at Barefoot Resort. Competing with other
architects in the Barefoot Resort project
such as Fazio, Norman and Dye, Davis was
determined to build a course that was unique,
visually striking and fun to play. The
course even incorporates a replica of ruins
from a 17th Century plantation house, similar
to ruins found along holes in Scotland
and Ireland.
